THIS TUESDAY 2nd June in Overgate.

Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Awareness Week.

Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership Diagnostic Support Service will be in the centre to promote Alzheimer Scotland’s Dementia Awareness Week (1–7 June) .

This annual campaign, led by Alzheimer Scotland will raise awareness, improve understanding, and encourage communities to take action to support those affected by dementia—helping to ensure no one faces dementia alone.

Primark in Overgate has launched a new sensory-friendly shopping hour every Saturday between 9am and 10am ❤️

The initiative creates a more accessible shopping experience for customers with sensory sensitivities.

The new adjustments include:

A NEW SENSORY FRIENDLY CHAMPION AT PRIMARK, OVERGATE

✅️ Laura Livie (seen here) who joined us for the launch photograph.

BEING MINDFUL WITH NOISES

✅️ Refraining from calling customers to the till.
✅️ Turning off till sounds.
✅️ Refraining from using the tannoy during this hour.

COLLEAGUE AWARENESS

✅️ Supporting customers with additional needs.
✅️ Accepting Support Cards.

ASSISTANCE DOGS

✅️ Assistance dogs will remain welcome at all times.

PRE VISIT SUPPORT

✅️ Customers can visit the Primark website to plan their trip to the Dundee store.

Neighbourhood Watch Scotland and officers from Police Scotland's community team in Dundee, will be in Overgate to share useful information on community safety and scam alerts, and to answer any questions you have about setting up new watches, joining the Neighbourhood Alert system where you receive free, targeted messages from trusted providers and crime and crime prevention related matters.

Find the team opposite Lush on Thursday 4th June. They look forward to welcoming you to their stall.
