Here were the tools of choice in the workshop the other day.

Would much rather use hand tools wherever I can. These old planes are great to use and so glad I was shown how to use them by an old timer 🤣🤣 ( luckily my dad isn't on FB)

Who would have thought that offcuts from a shinty stick could look so good.
Here are 3 joiners pencils and 2 letter openers made from Tanera Camans off cuts.

This allows otherwise scrap wood to have a second life. These would make a great gift for that shinty enthusiast in your life.

Always satisfying getting to use unique pieces of wood. Got this from Bo'ness railway from stock for restoration. This was offcuts from larger pieces that they have used on carriages. :)

These will be gifted back to the society for their gift shop to generate much needed funds :)

Here is the frankenstein pen blank fully turned on the lathe, this is it after sanding.

Learned from this one, nowhere near perfect but the process was fun and lessons learned for next one.
