From quiet garden spaces to a special place at the graveside, sometimes a simple memorial can mean so much.

Over the years Iโ€™ve created many different styles of personalised memorial plaques and garden & graveside memorials ~ from traditional plaques and grave markers to memorial benches, flower holders and rockery-style pieces.

Each can be engraved with the words that are meaningful to you ~ a name and dates, a favourite saying, a birthday remembrance, a relationship or simply a few words that say โ€œyou are still remembered.โ€

And they donโ€™t always have to follow the traditional format. A favourite colour, hobby, interest or something personal to the person youโ€™re remembering can make their memorial that little bit more unique.

Whether youโ€™re replacing an older plaque, adding something to an existing resting place, or creating a little memorial corner at home in the garden, Iโ€™m always happy to help with ideas and wording.

Engraving certainly isnโ€™t limited to the usual gifts. Over the years weโ€™ve personalised everything from wooden keepsakes and slate, to pens, pocket knives, tools, plaques and some wonderfully unusual pieces brought in by customers.

Sometimes the most meaningful gift is something completely unexpected ~ an item chosen because it means something to that person, made even more special with a name, date, message or little piece of their story.

Following on from our wedding memorial charms, I wanted to share just a few of the other ways I can help you keep someone precious close on one of the biggest days of your life.
Because it doesn't have to be a bouquet charm.

It could be ashes cufflinks for the groom, quietly carrying someone special with him as he walks down the aisle.
A memorial sgian dubh, incorporating ashes into something so beautifully Scottish and perfect for wearing with Highland dress.

A necklace, bracelet, charm or ring ~ something that can become part of the bride's wedding jewellery, perhaps even becoming her own very special "something blue".

A tiny butterfly or thistle, chosen because it holds a meaning known only to you.

Or even ashes incorporated into a special keepsake or wedding gift that remains with you long after the day itself has passed.

And pieces can be made even more personal with fingerprints, handwriting or engraving, creating something that truly belongs to your story.

There is no right or wrong way to remember someone on your wedding day.

Some people want their loved one visibly represented for everyone to see. Others want something incredibly subtle ~ a tiny, private connection that nobody else even needs to know is there.

That's one of the things I love most about creating these pieces.
They don't need to say "memorial" to the world ~ they only need to mean something to the person wearing them.

And amongst all the excitement and happiness of your wedding day, sometimes knowing you are carrying that little piece of someone you love can mean more than words can say.

๐Ÿ’’ Carrying someone special with you on your wedding day... ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

A wedding day is filled with so many emotions ~ excitement, nerves, laughter, happy tears and so much love.

But when someone incredibly important is missing, those happiest moments can also bring a little ache alongside them.

Over the years I've had the privilege of creating many beautiful wedding memorial charms, giving brides and grooms a precious way to keep someone they love close as they take those important steps into the next chapter of their lives.

For a bride, a charm can be attached beautifully to her bouquet, nestled amongst the flowers she carries down the aisle.

For a groom, it can be incorporated into his buttonhole, or worn discreetly inside his jacket ~ a private little reminder that someone very special is right there with him.

A favourite photograph can be carefully set into a beautiful charm, perhaps accompanied by a name, date, little message or another meaningful detail.

And for something even more personal, I can also create ashes memorial charms, lovingly and respectfully setting a tiny amount of your loved one's ashes into the piece myself.

It means that while they cannot physically take their place beside you on such an important day, you can carry a little piece of them with you.

A Mum or Dad...

A Gran or Grandad...

A sibling, friend or another precious person whose absence will be especially felt.

There is something incredibly moving about these little keepsakes ~ sometimes proudly visible amongst the flowers and sometimes tucked quietly away, known only to the person carrying them.

Because the people who helped shape our story still deserve a little place in the chapters they aren't physically here to see.

And long after the flowers have faded and the wedding day has passed, the charm remains ~ a precious keepsake of both the person you carried with you and one of the most important days of your life.

Some memories deserve to be seen, held and treasured.

Not everyone wants to wear memorial jewellery, and sometimes a family is looking for something a little different ~ a special piece that can sit quietly within the home and become part of everyday life.

This beautiful handcrafted glass heart contains a small amount of a loved oneโ€™s ashes, carefully incorporated into the glass to create a completely unique memorial.

We then created a custom engraved oak base, with the simple but beautiful words...

โ€œYour Love Shines Onโ€

And I think that says everything. โค๏ธ

Although someone we love may no longer be physically beside us, the love they gave us doesn't disappear. It remains in our memories, in our homes, in the stories we tell and in the little reminders that can suddenly make us smile.

Pieces such as this can offer a beautiful alternative ~ or accompaniment ~ to ashes jewellery, allowing a small amount of ashes to become part of something tangible that can be treasured for many years to come.

I can also personalise pieces to make them even more meaningful, whether with names, dates, a few special words or a message that means something only to you.
