Today is release day for this pair of brand new Aberargie Distillery expressions, celebrating the barley varieties grown in their own family farm. Rather than combining these grains, each expression allows a single variety to take centre stage, revealing the unique qualities, flavours and character it brings from barley to bottle.

Golden Promise Expression
🥃 100% golden promise barley
🥃 68% first fill bourbon casks
🥃 32% first fill sherry butts
🥃 'layers of warm buttery pastry, baked orchard fruits, brown sugar and gentle baking spices'

Laureate Expression

It's old! It's from a closed distillery!

🥃 27 Year Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky from the now closed Dumbarton Distillery, bottled by Living Souls
🥃 Matured in refill barrels, non chill filtered, natural colour
🥃 Tasting notes of orange sherbet, coconut cream and papaya
🥃 Elegant, bright and beautifully balanced.

Jackton Distillery have just released their inaugural single malt scotch whisky.
If you don't know them yet, Jackton are a female-led, young, independent and family run distillery. They laid their first casks down in 2020.

Bottled at 48.7% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered, this inaugural release brings together bourbon, pedro ximénez, Amontillado and oloroso casks.
Official tasting notes include:
🥃On the nose, look for fruitcake, fig and sultana.
🥃On the palate, expect dark fruits, treacle and roasted nuts.
🥃The finish is long and mellow, with toffee, sweet spice and soft oak.

We've sold out of the other editions from the latest Springbank release, but still have some delicious core range available from Campbeltown.

🥃 100 Proof 5 Year Old- lightly Peated and fully matured in ex Bourbon Casks
🥃 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky-matured in bourbon as well as sherry casks. A Campbeltown classic.

If you've visited our shop in Dunkeld, you'll know that one of our favourite breweries is - lovely people and great beer produced just up the road from us in Perthshire.
Likewise, Morrisons Distillers are a Perthshire institution producing some of our best selling whiskies.

So when they come together to create this beaut as part of we obviously needed to get some!

Another delicious error bottled by Living Souls, the latest Ninety-Nine and One is exceptional "mostly" unpeated 16yo North Highland single malt scotch whisky. A small amount of peated malt from the same distillery was accidentally added before re-racking into multiple different cask types. This release offers notes of fruit scones with raspberry jam, coffee cake and sticky toffee pudding.

(Trust us when we say you wouldn't typically get 16 year old whisky from this well known Highland distillery for this price!)

Tomorrow we'll be heading along to the Birnam Highland Games for our first ever pop up.

We'll have a selection of local whiskies, a very special release, cocktails and even some brand new whiskies.

We'll be all set and ready to welcome you from 10am.

It's only a 15 minute walk from the station to the games ground, so do that if you can!

And our shop at 2 High Street Dunkeld will also be open all day, offering our full selection of whiskies, craft beers, alcohol free and the newly update menu of drop in drams.
