🌲 4 Facts About the Fraser Fir 🌲

Here are 4 facts about one of the most loved Christmas trees around…

🌟 1. Fraser Firs have a wonderful festive fragrance
They're renowned for their fresh, traditional Christmas scent, making them a favourite for those who love the smell of a real tree.

🌟 2. Their needles are soft and silvery underneath
The dark green needles have a beautiful silver underside, giving the tree a distinctive and elegant appearance.

🌟 3. They have excellent needle retention
Fraser Firs hold their needles very well, meaning they'll stay looking fresh throughout the festive season with a little care.

🌟 4. They are native to the Appalachian Mountains
Originally found in the high mountains of North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, Fraser Firs thrive in cooler climates.

🌲 We're busy looking after our Fraser Firs all year round, and we can't wait to welcome you back to the farm this November!

🌲 Meet the Grower 🌲

Behind every Christmas tree at Country Business is years of care, attention and hard work.

This is Charlie, who oversees the growing of our Christmas trees here in West Lothian. From planting tiny seedlings to shaping and nurturing them over many years, every tree is carefully managed to ensure it reaches the high standards our customers expect.

A Nordmann fir like the one pictured can take around 8-10 years to grow into the perfect Christmas tree. During that time, each tree is regularly inspected, pruned and cared for to create the full, symmetrical shape that makes a real Christmas tree so special.

We can't wait to welcome you back to Harburn Estate this Christmas! 🎄

A Christmas tree starts long before December 🎄🌱

Right now, we’re out in the fields caring for this season’s growth — trimming, checking health, and giving each tree the attention it needs.

Years of work go into every tree, and spring is one of the most important times of all.

Good things take time ✨

Thank you for an incredible 2025 season!See you again this December?…🎄❤️
