He taught me that the art of perfume is enchanting the senses. I chose the name ÉLAN because it means elegance, finesse and grace. I added 'Home Fragrances' as m

y aim is to put the most amazing scents into a room space in the same way that we fragrance our bodies to smell good. Each of my fragrances is designed to evoke some sort of memory or emotion and the names of the products indicate the sort of reaction I'm expecting or the scene that I am setting, such as Energise, Relax or After Dark. Each ÉLAN product is made from a specially selected blend of natural waxes and oils and hand-poured in my Sawbridgeworth studio. You can also visit me for a candle masterclass which is fun insight into the art of candle-making and the history of perfume. Christmas masterclasses begin in October and book very quickly. What a year it’s been for awards and accolades. We’re incredibly grateful to be recognised as Luxury Home Fragrance Brand of the Year 2026/27 in the London & South East England Prestige Awards.

For us, this recognition is particularly special because ÉLAN remains an authentic artisan brand, keeping the craft of luxury home fragrance alive.

If you’d like to experiment with fragrance layers, choose one fragrance as your dominant scent and a second that complements it rather than competes with it. For example, a Sunrise diffuser is fresh and light yet spicy and works beautifully with After Dark which has deeper, richer notes of tuberose and sandalwood.
Think of it like interior design. You wouldn’t fill a room with lots of competing colours and patterns, and fragrance works in exactly the same way.
The result is a space that feels balanced, elegant and effortlessly luxurious. 💖

Every ÉLAN candle is hand-poured, white-glove finished and trimmed to 5mm before it reaches you, so it is ready to light and enjoy.
After that, the perfect burn is in your hands.
Even when you want your candle glowing all day, give it a little reset every four hours. Extinguish it, allow it to cool, trim the wick back to 5mm, then relight.
It takes seconds, but it helps your candle burn more slowly, cleanly and beautifully.
More fragrance. More candlelight. More time to enjoy it.
