Our Shop Around 50 Years Ago!
Hard to believe that these two shops were our

This was Cowal Highland Games weekend when the town came alive and last week was reminiscent of these years past.

Looking back it's lovely to see a little bit of our own history.

Something Worth Saying.
Dunoon can certainly be proud.

The sound of the pipes, the Highland Dancers as they made their way along the Main Street, it was honest fun.
What a wonderful atmosphere, it made for a weekend to remember.

A Beautiful Dunoon Tradition and a piece of
living history.
During the Cowall Games the town follows a beautiful tradition where historic Trophies are lent to local shopkeepers to display In their windows.
We are lucky enough to host this absolute masterpiece The Glen Caladh Trophy for Open Piobaiceachd.
It is on display just now in the trophy tent at the Dunoon Stadium. Look closely at those silver heart plaques, you are looking at the names of bagpipe royalty with dates on the shield going all the way back to 1924 including legends like Robert Reid in 1929 and 1930.
It was a privilege to safeguard such a magnificent piece of heritage while it sat in our window to share its history with everyone who passed by.
If you are heading down to the Stadium this weekend, make sure to stop by the Trophy Tent to see this and all the other stunning pieces of our towns history up close.
