I realise I've been a bit remiss on here and failed to mention that Lumi Chocolate is closing - I announced it on my email newsletter a couple of months ago but only now realise I forgot to say so on here. So here we are - I'm afraid after 4 brilliant years of running Lumi, it's time to call it a day. Not necessarily forever, but certainly for the time being. Partly due to the cost of cocoa making it impossible to making a living from it, and partly due to a planned relocation in the next few months, which will mean I have nowhere to produce from for the foreseeable future.
For the last couple of weeks I've been doing lots of production to use up the ingredients I have, and they will all be available on my website, going live at 11am tomorrow, Saturday 7th March. There are a few bars from the regular range such as the Blonde, Ugandan, Peppermint Crunch and Salty One, but also a number of one off bars and truffles such as roasted almond and crushed amaretti in 41% milk chocolate, white chocolate and roasted cocoa nib, salted pecans in dark chocolate, and a lot of hazelnut praline truffles in a choice of dark, milk or white shells. This will be my final restock, so if you would like to grab some, please make a note in your calendar to go online tomorrow after 11am. Please also note that I'm using up packaging and therefore some of these items won't be in their usual packaging - some truffles are in Natureflex compostable bags tied with ribbons, and the bars don't all have the front labels. (They will of course all have the necessary ingredient/allergen labels.)
Thanks to all of you who have supported my business over the last four years. I will still be selling my ceramics on the site, and hopefully growing that side of the business in the coming year, so please follow if you'd like to follow along for that.
