Today isn’t a making day it’s a packing day.
These scallop and oyster shell trinket dishes are all wrapped up and ready to head off to this weekend. There’s something really satisfying about seeing a whole batch finished and ready for their new home.
It’s funny thinking these all started as shells collected from the coast before being cleaned, painted, decoupaged and finished with those shiny gold edges. Every one ends up a little bit different.
Over the next couple of weeks I’ll probably be a little quieter on here while my husband has a couple of weeks off work. We’re hoping to enjoy some time together (and hopefully a few adventures if the Scottish weather behaves! ☀️🌧️), but I’ll still be pottering away in the studio whenever I can.
