🎉 WHAT A FABULOUS WEEKEND AT THE OLD CURIO! 🎉

We met so many lovely new customers who really seemed to enjoy themselves, and it was wonderful to see the café, antiques centre and sofa shop all buzzing with activity. ❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who came along, joined the celebrations and supported us throughout the weekend. It truly means so much to the whole team. 🙏

We’re incredibly grateful for every coffee bought, every treasure found, every sofa admired and every friendly conversation shared.

We can’t wait to see what we do next, and we’re already looking forward to celebrating all over again in August 2027! 🥂🥳

🎉🥳 IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY! 🥳🎉

Congratulations to the Durham Antiques Cooperative and the Carthouse Café as we celebrate our first anniversary today!

One year ago, we launched this joint venture with just two people. Today, we have an amazing team of around 30 people working across both businesses, and we’ve become a little family here in Sherburn Hill. ❤️

We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and so grateful to every member of staff, every dealer, and every customer who has helped make it possible.

Our lovely customer travelled all the way from Cramlington looking for a sofa to match their existing Alexander & James furniture after the company ceased trading.

The challenge was finding the right fabric… and we’re delighted to say we found the perfect match from one of our trusted North East sofa manufacturers! 👏
