Hoppy Days has now hopped away from her seaside home and is looking for a new forever home. 💙🐰

For the past nine weeks she has enjoyed the most wonderful summer in Cullercoats, surrounded by the beautiful North Sea and visited by so many amazing people. I’ve loved seeing all of your photos, reading your kind comments and hearing the lovely stories from visitors who stopped by to meet her.

The Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne trail has raised vital funds for St Oswald's Hospice, and it has been fantastic to be part of something that has brought so much joy while supporting such an important local charity.

A huge thank you to everyone who voted for Hoppy Days in the app. Your incredible 139 votes mean so much and made this artist’s heart very happy.

Hoppy Days is feeling extremely hoppy indeed! 🐝🐞🌼💙

And just like that, today marks the final day of the Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne trail.

For the past few months, Hoppy Days has stood proudly overlooking the beautiful North Sea, welcoming visitors, photographs, smiles and so much love. I honestly couldn’t imagine a more perfect location for her, and I’m so grateful to her sponsors, Sopra Steria, for choosing such a wonderful spot at Cullercoats.

It has been incredibly special to see so many people enjoy the trail, share their photos and stories, and take Hoppy Days to their hearts. Thank you to everyone who has visited her over the summer.

Now it is time for Hoppy Days to leave her seaside home for a little while as she joins the rest of the magnificent Peter Rabbit sculptures for some well deserved pampering and final touch ups ahead of the Farewell Event at Newcastle Civic Centre on 10th and 11th October.

If you haven’t had the chance to see all of the sculptures, this is a wonderful opportunity to view the entire collection together in one place. Tickets are available now.

And the journey doesn’t end there. Bidding is now open ahead of the charity auction on 13th October. Perhaps Hoppy Days, or one of the other beautiful sculptures, could find a forever home with you. Register your interest here https://talesonthetyne.co.uk/auction

Every bid and every ticket purchased helps support the incredible work of St Oswald’s Hospice, making a real difference to local patients and families.

Goodbye for now, Hoppy Days. Thank you for making so many happy memories by the sea.

Minnie is on packing duty today.

As you can see, she’s equally disapproving of the rabbit theme. In fact she isn’t keen on anything (apart from Dreamies).

Incase you’ve missed my posts, these letterbox gifts which include one of three designs from my Tales on the Tyne rabbit collection are on sale now. £1 from each will be donated to the wonderful St Oswald's Hospice. I’ll have these available on my stall in the refectory at Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens flower festival on Saturday and Sunday or message me if you’re interested.

Today is National Read a Book Day, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to celebrate some very special books.

One of my biggest dreams has always been to write and illustrate my own children’s books. While I’m not quite there yet, I’m delighted to say that I’ve achieved half of that dream by becoming an illustrator.

I feel incredibly grateful to have worked alongside the wonderful authors Victoria Downes, Kirsty Lewton and Linda Lee, who trusted me to bring their stories to life through my illustrations. And I certainly can’t leave out Alexa Whitten of Author Maker, whose magical typesetting skills helped transform these books into the beautiful finished publications they are today.

So, on National Read a Book Day, I’m taking the opportunity to share some of these fabulous book covers once again. Each one represents a creative journey, wonderful collaboration, and a little step closer to that lifelong dream.

Which book are you reading today? 📚✨
