Just a reminder to anyone visiting the Frampton Country Fair this weekend in Gloucestershire. ⚔Trad Pathfinder⚔

This is one of the new, shorter Pathfinder knives and is finished with more traditional walnut scales and brass pins.
A lanyard tube replaces the rear pin, but does the same task of holding the scales secure to the tang of the knife.
A wavy spine decoration and personal blade etch completes this build. Its live in a brown leather sheath with matching Nordic belt dangler. On it's way to it's new home very soon.

Five on Friday🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪
These next 5 are at the rough sanding stage after gluing and pinning on the scales. Most are Kirinite, but one is wearing more traditional walnut scales.
The Pathfinder, Huntsman and Muntjac are my most popular knives and the slightly smaller versions of the first two are a new addition to what I'm making.
For a few years folk have raised an issue with me that they would like a smaller blade with a larger full size handle and these have been produced for that reason.
Final shaping, hand sanding and polishing to go.

Getting there⚔
More workshop time today and more progress on a few orders and other projects. The 3 x 1095 carbon steels are heat treated and tempered and 2 new smaller versions of the Huntsman and te Pathfinder are near completion.
2x Muntjacs and another Pathfinder are in the gluing phase.

Me time!!⚔
After some thought and as I have a relatively significant birthday coming up, I thought I'd make something for myself for once.
Won't be ready for a while, but is made from 1095 carbon steel, will have a darkened and textured blade and I've managed to get my paws on some beautiful black buffalo horn with a red dye for the handle. Work in progress, but we'll see how it goes.
Also getting ready for heat treatment is a Nyala and Fenman also in 1095 carbon steel.
Currently also working on about 10 orders (Yes Tom, I haven't forgotten, and this new buffalo horn is fabulous), More on these in the next few days as they're finished.

On Sunday 13th September 2026, I will once again be helping out my good friends from FieldsportsChannel.tv on the stand at this year's Frampton Country Fair in Gloucestershire.
Celebrating it's 40th anniversary and set in the beautiful Frampton Court Estate, it's certainly a great family day out.

A New knife made from Feather and Clay🗡😳
Well not exactly. Yes, it is a new take on my popular "Pathfinder", this is a slightly smaller version with a shorter blade and thinner handle.
This is the first one and was made as a competition prize for Stephanie Davey and her shooting tuition business, Feather & Clay.
Made from 3mm AEBL stainless steel and adorned with the business logo, it is fitted with the amazing luminous "Axis" kirinite scales. A brown leather sheath and belt dangler complete this build. For more information on Feather & Clay, follow the link below.........
