It's Only Fair

It's Only Fair Fairtrade shop in Earls Barton Village. We are very grateful to them for getting us started! So many thanks for your ongoing support!

We stock a great selection of fairtrade & organic foods, inspiring fairtrade ethical gifts from around the world and greetings cards, ECO cleaning & personal care products & much more... Our little fairtrade shop started it's journey with 'Traidcraft,' established in 1979 as a Christian response to poverty and a pioneer in the Fairtrade movement in the UK. With Traidcraft having closed it's doors

in 2023, we now buy our products from a range of different fairtrade and ethical companies, such as True Origin & Transform Trade. We aim for our shop & the events we organise to be a means for people in our community and beyond to make sustainable choices in the everyday consummables they buy, as well as offering some beautiful & unusual world crafts made by fairtrade artisans, many of which are made from upcycled and recycled materials
Our shop is run by volunteers from our church & village community with the support of All Saints Church, so all profits raised from our shop sales & donations from events go to the charity 'Transform Trade' (formerly Traidcraft Exchange') whose projects & campaigns work towards a fairer world of trading, especially for communities experiencing poverty and smallholder farmers. We'd love you to visit our shop and to join us at our monthly fairtrade cafes on the second Saturday of the month, where you can have more time to browse our lovely products and find out more about what we do.

A bit behind with posting these but it was lovely to welcome so many groups & individuals to our Wildlife & ECO day on the 11th, so many of us, all ages, feeling inspired by what we can learn from each other about looking after our world. Lots of people visited our fairtrade shop too & we know how good fairtrade is in caring for our shared environment. Thanks to everyone who helped & supported the event πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

This is brilliant news! So important to be aware of our supply chains for things we buy when the UK imports so much, so it's great to see the government is helping make this happen more generally πŸ’š

New rules will ensure everyday products sold in the UK including coffee and cocoa do not contribute to illegal deforestation around the world
