So the sprained ankle isn't sprained. It's actually a fracture. 🫣
Sadly this means that I can't do any fairs for a bit.

Therefore I really need to try to get my online sales going. Not sure how or what I'm going to do yet, but please keep liking and sharing and I'll be posting more soon.

This girl needs some appreciation today.

Yesterday we had a fair and I stupidly sprained my ankle as we were setting up. So she helped so much with setting everything up and everything during the day.

She also made me breakfast in bed this morning. ❤️

The ankle is not good and I'm already bored resting it, but fingers crossed it improves enough for my next fair at Estcots School next Saturday! 🤞🏻

Orla has been keeping herself busy and learning new bead designs. This dreamcatcher is her latest creation. What do you think? If it doesn't sell beforehand, she will have it at the Crawley Down Village fair on 5th September.

I've been really thinking about what I want to do with Space Chocolate lately and been lazy with promoting and pushing the business. I thought about quitting, but remembered why I do it.

When I started making resin during lockdown it was because I was bored and had been made redundant, then I sold a few bits and a few more, got my studio and nearly 6 years later I'm still here. It's hard. Costs are up, sales are down, online interaction is down or often non existent, but my reason for continuing and trying to grow it more is here and proving herself every day.

Orla is my reason, she is now 12 and is working so hard to try to become an amazing musical theatre performer. She sings and dances constantly, she takes on any part she's given, works to pass any exam she does, she works hard and I can see her improving all the time.

The trouble is dance classes are expensive, private singing lessons are expensive, all the other shows, summer schools and competitions are very expensive. I want to be able to give her the best opportunities I can to see if she can have a career in musical theatre, so to do that I can't quit, just because it's getting tougher, I can't be disheartened when my takings are low, I need to push forward and find a way to make it work and make it better and more profitable.

I'm still working out how to do this, so any suggestions would be gratefully received and if you can spare a second to like or comment or share when I post that honestly helps more than you realise.

I've been a bit quiet as I've taken a bit of time off to enjoy summer but I've been working hard behind the scenes. Today I made a big batch of teddy bears to make more pictures, as I'm pleased to say I've nearly sold out of all the ones I initially made!

We have our next fair on Saturday 13th, but this isn't any fair. This is Halsford Park school fair. Orla's old primary school, so that makes it special but also, she is singing her first small solo set there too! She's singing at 3pm in the arena.

We'd love to see any friendly faces both at the stall and to see Orla.
