Teachers, I see you. 📚
The summer holidays are over and we’re back into the autumn term. And if you’re already thinking about whether there might be another way of working in the future, I really do understand.
I’ve been there. I left teaching, went back, and eventually left again. But this time I had already started something alongside teaching, which made that final transition so much easier.
I built my own children’s book business, sharing brilliant books with families and schools, supporting literacy and helping children discover a love of reading.
And honestly, teachers already have so many of the skills you need. You’re organised, adaptable, brilliant at multitasking and used to making things happen!
The lovely thing is that you can start small, build it alongside teaching and gradually see where it could take you, with support from me and a community of other book loving people.
For me, it eventually gave me the flexibility and choice I was looking for, and I genuinely don’t miss teaching for a second.
