Hello!

I’ve recently launched a new East Lothian community called Village Green Gatherings – born from a desire to slow down, reconnect, and share the simple joy of learning and being together.

After closing my shop (Village Green Home), I realised how much I missed those everyday chats, the buzz of organising markets, and the warmth of community. It turns out many others are craving connection too.

🌿 Village Green Gatherings brings people together through small, meaningful events – guided walks, creative workshops, seasonal suppers, nature adventures and more. It’s a space to explore, be curious, and celebrate the brilliant people and places on our doorstep.

💚 Events are running on a free trial basis until the end of May - some are free, others have al fee to cover costs. If there’s enough interest, we’ll become a friendly members' club.

🦔 The very last of products from Village Green are on sale this weekend at the Mandi Jewellery at The Funky Emporium’s closing down sale.

🦔 Most of the items are heavily reduced. Only available in person as the website is now closed.

🦔 I won’t be there myself, but Mandi is taking care of all sales.

🎄Enjoy some Christmas present bargains and maybe a treat for yourself.

Village Green is closing its doors and going into hibernation 🦔

Our last days of trading will be this weekend, so drop in to say hello/goodbye and finally treat yourself to that bracelet you've had your eye on for weeks (you know who you are 😉 )

Friday: 11 am - 4 pm
Saturday: 10 am - 4 pm
Sunday: 11 am - 4 pm

We'll have a small selection of discounted items, though they'll be limited as we have wholesale buyers lined up for the remaining stock. Plus, we're selling off some fixtures and fittings as part of our clear-out.

The reason behind our hibernation? Well, I was diagnosed with breast cancer last month. But don't worry, I'm fine, really. It's one of those things, and I'm incredibly fortunate that it's one of the most researched and treatable cancers. I'm feeling very positive about it all. I'll be undergoing surgery later this month followed by radiotherapy. Massive thanks to the care and support from the team at Western General.

Balancing treatment and running the shop isn't feasible right now, so I've decided to focus on my recovery and close Village Green.

You can help me clear the shop by stocking up on cards, finding gifts, or treating yourself to something special.

Drop by this weekend or shop online before the website goes offline. Keep an eye out for updates on our products for sale via Stories over the next few days.

I’m Natalie, a one-woman business although I’m fortunate to receive boundless support from an amazing network of local artisans.

You might have had the pleasure of meeting , , , or , affectionately known as the Village Green Dream Team, who kindly stepped in while I was away recently.

Nestled in the charming village of East Linton, within the grounds of The Mart, we’re surrounded by fellow independent businesses like , , .123 , , .crows.perch , , , and more.

Village Green came to life in September 2020, a project born from the quiet moments during the pandemic. With a dream long nurtured, I’ve curated a space filled with locally crafted treasures, each one a testament to our vibrant community’s talent.

Today, the Fabulous Fiona is at the Helm!

For those who've been with us on this journey, you'll remember our humble beginnings at The Strawberry Barn. Fiona, the previous occupant of the ShopShed at SB, filled it with the enchanting blooms of her incredible florist work.

We first met as neighbouring stallholders at Christmas Market, where a serendipitous conversation led to Fiona offering her shop to me and Village Green was able to transition from online-only to a physical shop, all thanks to Fiona.
