Recently, Michael had a fantastic return visit to Bookpoint Dunoon! 🎉📚

Bookpoint is a brilliant independent bookshop at the heart of Dunoon and Cowal - offering an incredible range of books, unique gifts, and hosting some great author events. A real community gem. 💙

This visit came with a technical challenge: connecting a new EPOS till to their Gardlink database in a new gift shop located across the road. To make it happen, we installed a wireless booster capable of reliably bridging the connection over a busy 10m stretch - job done! ✅

A big thank you for the warm welcome! It was great to help get everything up and running for this exciting new chapter of your business.

The Very Small Bookshop was Matthew's next stop – a brand‑new independent bookshop tucked away in a creative container yard in Bristol. 📚

Though small in size, the shop is full of character and charm – the kind of place that invites you to linger, chat, and talk books. And we did just that with owner Leah!

Matthew spent time installing and configuring Gardlink and EPOS, helping Leah get to grips with both systems and build confidence in managing stock, sales, and everything in between.

It’s always exciting to support a new independent bookshop, especially one in such a distinctive location. We can’t wait to come back again soon!

Next stop on Matthew’s February bookshop tour: Coach House Books! 🎉

Coach House Books is a family‑run independent bookshop in the market town of Pershore, well known for its wonderful selection of adult and children’s books, alongside greetings cards and quality art materials.

We recently visited to carry out a full system health check and make some important improvements along the way:

✅ Restored and checked GardlinkSuite to ensure everything is running smoothly with reliable backups
✅ Integrated Gardlink with Edelweiss
✅ Upgraded their machine to Windows 11
✅ Updated the G4 Reporter and highlighted useful reports to help with day‑to‑day tasks and returns

It was great to catch up with Pete and make practical changes that will help keep everything running effortlessly behind the scenes.

Back in February, Matthew had the pleasure of visiting The Cleeve Bookshop, right in the heart of Bishop’s Cleeve village.

Proudly independent, The Cleeve Bookshop plays a huge role in its local community. From author events and reading groups to children’s activities and World Book Day celebrations, it’s clear how passionate Will and his team are about sharing the joy of books. The shop offers a fantastic range for both adults and children, alongside a lovely selection of gifts.

During the visit, Matthew carried out a full system health check and was pleased to find everything running smoothly - a very well‑maintained setup! While he was there, we also arranged the Batch integration within Gardlink, meaning Will can now send his returns for Hachette, HarperCollins, TBS and Macmillan directly through Gardlink - nice and simple. ✅

Last month, Matthew had the pleasure of visiting Octavia's Bookshop, an award‑winning independent bookshop based in Cirencester.

While on site, we upgraded their in‑store systems with a new computer and touchscreen display to help keep everything running smoothly. Our work included:

🖱️ Backing up their existing machine so it can be removed and recycled by our team
🖱️ Installing the new system
🖱️ Transferring all documents
🖱️ Carrying out thorough testing to make sure everything was running perfectly

It was a real pleasure meeting Octavia and spending time in her beautiful, welcoming shop. The bookshop specialises in children’s books, with a fantastic range spanning early years to young adult, alongside a carefully curated selection for adults. They also host brilliant author events and even a children’s literary festival.
