Holidays are all about making memories, but what happens when you get home? If you’re anything like me, the photos you took on holiday stay safely tucked away in your phone, only to be seen on the rarest of occasions…. It’s not that the holiday wasn’t important, it’s just life is busy when you get home and the holiday you spent a year dreaming of, becomes a distant memory.

If you’re like me, and you desperately want to capture memories and moments, join me at The Cart & Horses for a beautiful workshop where we will collect your memories and create beautiful postcards using illustration and watercolours that celebrate your favourite moments.

I’ll be on hand to guide you through every step of the way, providing templates, tips and demonstrations, and there will be a lovely cup of tea and a pastry to enjoy too!!

It’s been a whole year of me being fully self employed - after 5 years of part time and working evenings and weekends with no break, it has been so worth it.

Little old me of Sept 2025 was nervous if it would all be ok, and I’m so glad I took the leap and left teaching to follow this dream instead - I haven’t looked back!

These words by Dolly Parton are definitely a good motto to live by - sometimes I find myself so busy working and thinking about working, that time goes by and moments are missed.

Here’s to intentionally stopping working so much and making more memories with loved ones!

And not feeling guilty! 🙌

I’ve got a midweek Christmas Craft Retreat and you need to know about it!

For 2 nights, you can join me and a gorgeous group of ladies to make and create a beautiful selection of crafts including a wreath workshop with Kay from Kay Murrant - Romsey Wedding & Event Florist . Something that’s been on my mind recently, is how sometimes, we just need a little reminder that we’re allowed to do things simply because they make us feel good.

We don’t always have to be productive, busy doing jobs around the house or because we are experts at them.

Sometimes, we just need to do things because the feeling we get is good.

So, consider this your permission to pause and be creative.

It’s permission to put down the to-do list. Permission to pick up a paint brush, not worrying about it being perfect. Permission to slow down and be fully present for a while.

Why? Because there’s something so totally calming and engaging about making things with your hands. It’s not about the outcome, it’s about having a go and seeing what you like.

And that’s what people love about my workshops - yes, you learn how to paint something to take home, but the most important part is how you feel when you go home - relaxed, content and happy.

I’ve got lots of lovely workshops coming up - if you’ve been thinking about coming for a while, consider this a nudge to give yourself a little creative time.

What do you get someone for their 80th birthday?

For me, it’s an easy answer: a celebration of your most treasured memories with them.

I’m so glad that Lauren and her cousins trusted me to bring their memories to life in this Memory Frame : each picture celebrates a different memory, moment or connection with their grandad. It’s something that both he and the family will treasure forever.

I love creating these memory frames and look forward to painting many more in the future!

600 children, one piece of artwork. ✅

Working on this commission from beginning to end was such a joy - I loved using the children’s original drawings in the piece, repainting them for a cohesive look.

What a gorgeous piece that will hang in reception for many years to come!
