We’ve made the decision to pause The Big Boot Sale for now.
Our launch brought in huge numbers, far beyond expectations, but it’s clear the experience on that day impacted seller confidence more than it should have.
First impressions count, we should have been better prepared and we’ve taken valuable lessons from that day.
Whilst we moved quickly to resolve traffic issues and the layout at Eastleigh Football Club, we’ve spoken to some of our registered sellers over the past couple of weeks and it’s clear that there’s still hesitation around access, traffic and parking.
We’re aware of the hostility and commentary circulating online that doesn’t accurately reflect the event or the improvements made. We’ve chosen not to get drawn into back-and-forth and instead stay focused on doing things properly, with integrity and with pride.
From the start, this has been about building a family-friendly car boot for Eastleigh - raising the standard with a more modern, quality-led approach.
The concept works, the demand is clearly there, and the turnout has proven that.
A huge thank you to the thousands of buyers who’ve supported the event, the hundreds of sellers who chose to trade with us, and the vendors who’ve stood by us week on week - all sharing the same principle of doing things right.
