PLEASE DONβT PANIC BUY β VA**NG DUTY UPDATE π¨
Weβve had lots of customers understandably concerned about the new Va**ng Products Duty coming into effect from 1st October 2026, so we just wanted to clear a few things up. π
Firstly, this is a Government/HMRC duty β it is NOT a price increase that we, as a business, have chosen to introduce. The new duty applies across the UK va**ng industry, so unfortunately it will affect va**ng products wherever you choose to buy them.
But the important bit isβ¦ PLEASE DONβT PANIC BUY! π
There is a six-month transition period, which means eligible unstamped stock that was manufactured or imported before 1st October can continue to be bought and sold right up until 31st March 2027. From 1st April 2027, products sold in the UK will need to carry the appropriate duty stamp.
At V**e With Ease, we normally carry around six months' worth of stock anyway, and we're working closely with our suppliers to make sure we're as prepared as possible. We can also continue purchasing qualifying pre-October stock from our suppliers during the transition period, provided it meets HMRC's rules.
So there really is no need to rush in and clear the shelves. π We have plenty of stock and plenty of time.
We completely understand nobody wants to pay more for their favourite products, and neither do we! We'll continue doing everything we can to keep our prices as competitive as possible while complying with the new Government rules.
