Five simple tips to make every commute just that little bit smoother — Tried and tested advice to help you and your bike get to work in one piece. 🚲🌧️✨

1) Puncture‑resistant tyres — ride with fewer flats. Mechanic’s tip: Spend the money on good tyres to avoid spending more than the bikes worth in tube replacements over time!
2) Be safe, be seen — get some good lights to stay safe on busy city roads and dark canals. Mechanic’s tip: choose USB charging to avoid spending all your money on batteries!
3) Mudguards! — stay dry on rainy days. Mechanic’s tip: check clearance with wider tyres.
4) Always carry tools and tubes — fix it fast. Mechanic’s tip: keep your loadout small enough to carry it in your saddle bag.
5) Maintain that chain! — spend a little time and money on cleaning and lubrication. It's much cheaper than new chains fitted every month! Trust us we know.
