It's July! The month of my kids’ birthdays (both 7 and 4 TODAY!), and the month that is kicked off with school summer holidays (last day of P2 tomorrow for Arto 🥹). It's also the month we celebrate our wedding anniversary, 15 years this year…how?!

Here’s to long summer days, blooming gardens, birthday cake, making memories, and hopefully a little sunshine too.

Current obsession: drawing vintage seed packets.
I’ve created quite a few of them over the past few months, and I’m desperately trying not to reveal exactly why…

All will become clear in a few months, but if you’ve noticed me drawing more vegetables than usual lately, there is a reason.

This little courgette is one of my favourites from it and may (or may not) have something to do with my 2027 calendar.

Currently in Rhodes, enjoying plenty of seafood and sunshine, so it felt like the perfect time to share this lobster illustration from my archives🦞☀️

I drew this one quite a while ago, but it has (almost) all the ingredients of a good holiday: blue skies, al fresco lunches and something delicious on the menu. All that the illustration is missing is a glass of w**e! No lobster for me just yet though, although I’ve been making excellent progress through the hotel’s buffet 🐽

April felt like one of those months where creativity completely took over in the best possible way.

I made new collections, uploaded 50 designs to Spoonflower, painted tropical birds, found a new favourite art supply, and became obsessed with colourful doors.

The downside is that I spent very little time on the business side of things, prospecting, outreach, and all the less exciting but necessary tasks. So I’ll be shifting gears slightly, this month; more admin, more pitching, and a (teeny) bit less drawing, but still exactly the same amount of tea, coffee and biscuits 😁
