We've reorganised our net section recently and added in the new Stillwater Long Handle Carbon net!

With the longer handle, it's ideal for scooping fish and it's easily stored on your back or suspended from a magnetic release. The fish-friendly rubber mesh won't tangle around hooks or damage your quarry making it a simple task to keep 'em wet, unhook them and send them on their way, and the handy fish measure means you can get a quick length before release.

EAC staff member & HTO Lures pro Jake caught an absolute pumpkin of a Ballan Wrasse recently.

One of our favourite things about Wrasse fishing is the assortment of species & colours of fish you can pick up, with many of these fish looking more at home on a tropical reef than in Scottish waters!

Jake was fishing his trusty free-rig, using artificial isome ragworm to tempt Wrasse out from cover.

As always, this fish was safely landed, photographed and then released.
