EAC staff member Callum was out chasing salmon again yesterday, this time on the stunning North Esk.

Whilst he saw a few fish his first salmon on the fly still eludes him, but of course there's always next time!

The smaller river however, did give him the perfect opportunity to test out his new Loop Tackle Trak 13ft2 8wt and what an unbelievable rod it is - perfectly dealing with heavier tips and flies and casting like something far beyond it's price point.

Congratulations to longtime EAC regular Dougie who recently landed his PB carp whilst fishing at local water Drumtassie coarse fishery!

Drumtassie is a fantastic venue with an assortment of fishing on offer, and is well worth visiting if you fancy some coarse fishing this summer - they also boast some excellent fly waters, too via Drumtassie fishery.

Thanks for sending your catch in Dougie, I'm sure we'll see you in again soon.

EAC staff member & HTO Lures Prostaff Jake was out recently, once again targeting perch and being surprised by some crackin' pike that took a liking to his dropshotted soft plastics.

Dropshotting is an extremely versatile way to present a load of different lures or even bait, and can be very productive in both fresh and saltwater.
