Met up with customer Doug Simpson to join him on a ride with his ICE Adventure trike with Bafang e-assist. Started with 5 bars and had enough left to return to Glenshee Cafe & Gift Shop for more cake and coffee! 😆 At top of a hill on the road back from lovely Glen Isla. Did a circuit round Mount Blair. Still a lot of pedalling even with e-assist btw!
A nice route with great company on a decent weather day. What more do you need!? 🌞

Last Wednesday took a trip over into Glen Tilt via Gleann Fearnach. Cloud on top of Beinn a' Ghlò. Track dissappears at the lochs below so around 4 miles of pushing along hillside and carrying bike over gullies. The manual 29'r mountain bike I borrowed was ideal. After wading across the river was able to enjoy Glen Tilt. Famous for its significant geology. More here. https://james-hutton.org/locations/glen-tilt/

Afterwards went for ☕️ 🍰 at Watermill in Blair Atholl. Then back down to Pitlochry and over to Kirkmichael.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Highly satisfactory 23°C in Strathardle last couple of days. Dusted down the recliner to enjoy a breeze whilst lazing about in the sun. 🌞 😆
Today's route designed to maximise hydration and eats and support local businesses which have been hit by staff costs and shortages (thanks Brexit!).
First stop Glenshee Cafe & Gift Shop with coffee and a gluten free cake pick up for Irene Gardiner
Then over into Glen Isla for a tasty sandwich and another coffee at Glen Isla Hotel .
Met a lovely group of e-bikers on a trio up from Alyth. Saw dozens of motorbikers flashing by. Met one man on a manual road bike.
Impressive array of solar power behind hotel now. Local resilience centre for climate disruption.

Being a business close to the canal was a pleasure today. Weather improved and so nice to see families out. Bruntsfield Area Net Zero Action out introducing their Urban Arrow and Tern GSD to lots of browsers. Birchwood Art doing painting on the banks. Local musicians at the Quay and on a barge 🎶. Model Boat Club displaying some amazing models. New coffee business Fir Espresso Bar now open.

Trans Alba 2026 is on right now. 1000 mile race round Scotland by selection group of self supported riders.
24 hours in and one rider has already got past Oban at 400 mile mark!

Chainless cycling on display. New trike models from ICE offer the PERS system which even has reverse. We don't have a demo at LB yet but certainly considering it.
