Thanks to Hoxton Mini Press and Pippa | Scotland & UK Travel for including us in this fresh new guide book to our city: ‘An Opinionated Guide to Edinburgh’.

We are chuffed to be included in what must have been a difficult shortlist - thank you Pippa 💛 - and to find ourselves amongst such good company too.

Beautifully written and photographed, with inclusions from lots of local photographers (our photo is by the lovely Simon Hird )it’s the perfect edit of where to stay, eat, shop and explore across the city.

So grateful for all the wonderful makers and brands that add colour to our lives, and the customers and visitors who come to see us every day (and online!) and enjoy great design as much as we do.

April was an extraordinary month for Lifestory in so many ways, and we actually lost count of the deliveries - let’s just say the shop is full of wonderful treasures for the weekend.

Open 7 days, dog friendly (very) and our area in Edinburgh is full of other lovely independents too. So see you soon!

Some truly beautiful pieces arrived from Ferm Living this week, coinciding with a visit from the brand to see us at our store in Edinburgh 💫

Most of the new collection is already on our website and all is available in store. It was fun unpacking and styling this one!

Don’t miss the final slide which is a new solar light for the garden in corten steel, a material I love and we have some of in our garden, along with the hourglass planters in a new colourway …summer evenings outdoors are beckoning.

New brands, restocks and more. It’s been a week of deliveries and newness here and it’s not over yet!

Thank you to everyone who has visited us or shopped online. We are overwhelmed by the support for our business and can’t wait to have you all open your gifts on 25th!

Our extended opening hours are on the first slide - we are still well stocked and ready to help you find that perfect gift - and you can also place an online order for collection on Christmas Eve. We are also shipping online orders up to 24th and again from 26th.

And yes we are all ready for this well earned break ✨🌲 🧑‍🎄 Here’s to the last sprint!
