We absolutely loved seeing all the artwork from the competition, and so did our bees. Swipe to see who won in our three categories: Under 5, Over 5, and 3D.

We’re not the only ones thinking about the colder months.

While we’re pulling the heavier coats back out and debating whether it’s too early to put the heating on, the bees are already well into their winter planning.

September is a surprisingly busy month inside the hive. The drones are shown the door, summer bees are being replaced by the longer-lived winter generation, and the colony becomes increasingly protective of the stores that will carry it through the months ahead.

Basically, while we’re still calling it autumn, the bees are already thinking about spring.

Honey and cheese, side by side, and we want your verdict 🧀

We're running a mini honey and cheese tasting in the shops on two Saturdays this month. A dark, treacly honey does something completely different to a soft floral one, and the cheese shifts with it. Come in, taste your way through them, then tell us which pairing is your favourite.

Saturday 19th & Saturday 26th September

From September onwards, you'll see far fewer Bees around. We are going to miss seeing our flying friends but we know they've got their heads down, working hard to prepare for winter 🌺
