There is a hint of Autumn in the air this morning with the rain ☔️ so for better or worse we have displayed some of our schooly books 📚 Some new and old favourites. Reading passports are back with some crunchy and scrumpy  back to school pink ladies 🍎 But don’t worry if you are still savouring the last remnants of summer we do have a few seasonal books left! Filling up our end of summer sales basket just in time for the weekend! 😎 🍂 📚

Ginger and Pickles Tuesday’s Picture Book of the Week - Our last title for August and therefore our last hurrah of summer 😩 We have chosen something swimmingly good - Over and Under the Coral Reef by Kate Messner with art by Christopher Silas Neal. We often feature this creative duo as we absolutely love their collaborative work on the “Over and Under” series. And whilst a few titles are sometimes hard to find in the UK, we have them all at Ginger and Pickles . . .at least for now! Enjoy a cool dip in what seems to be our second summer. A non-fiction beauty and only available at Ginger and Pickles. The weather is still cooperating so a great book for coastal foraging for beachcombers old and young alike. You know it’s summer in city when we are asked to put up posters and fliers for the various shows for the Edinburgh Fringe. We are very happy to do so when and where-space permits. However, when one of your fav Higher pupils comes in for a visit and writes a lovely note asking to advertise a show she is in, not only will we find space but shamelessly put up a post!
