A Wedding Party in Granite Pride

Another stunning wedding gallery sent our way by Photography By Rhea.
Roisean & Liam tied the knot at Aberdeen University Chapel, followed by photos and celebrations at Ecclesgreig Estate.

For the big day, Liam and his groomsmen chose our exclusive Granite Pride of Scotland tartan with matching ties, paired with Charcoal Argyll jackets and waistcoats, grey dress sporrans, black hose and black Ghillie Brogues.

We love how the darker Highlandwear worked alongside the bridesmaids in black, bringing the whole wedding party together.

A look back to October and Elle & Robbie’s beautiful wedding at Drumtochty Castle, captured by Photography By Rhea.

For his wedding look, Robbie chose our exclusive Highland Pride of Scotland tartan for his kilt, tie and plaid. The mix of blues, greens and purples worked beautifully with our Dark Green Crail jacket and waistcoat. The outfit was finished with matching green hose, a bespoke dress sporran and brown day brogues.

Traditionally, choosing a specific tartan for your kilt has meant committing to having one made. With Hire Any Tartan at McCalls, you don’t have to.

Choose the tartan and style you want and we’ll have a made-to-measure kilt created especially for you, ready to wear for your wedding or special occasion.
You’ll pay 60% of the cost of the made-to-measure kilt, with the rest of your outfit included in the hire too, including your jacket, waistcoat, neckwear, sporran and shoes.

And if you decide afterwards that you’d like to keep your kilt? Simply pay the remaining 40% and it’s yours.

It means you can wear the tartan you really want, with an outfit put together for you by our team, without having to decide from the start whether you want to purchase.

Our next Dedicated Gold Buying Day in Inverurie is getting closer, so now might be a good time to have a look through that jewellery box, drawer or cupboard you’ve been meaning to sort out.

On Saturday 19th September, the McCalls Jewellers team will be joining us at McCalls of Inverurie to value and buy unwanted jewellery and precious metals.

That could be old rings you no longer wear, broken chains, earrings missing their partner, watches, bracelets or scrap gold that’s simply been sitting forgotten about.

A GORGEOUS WINTER WEDDING AT GLEN CLOVA, CAIRNGORMS NATIONAL PARK // My last wedding of 2025 was Katie and Kev’s ceremony at Glen Clova Estate, and what a way to finish the year!

It was December, wet, windy and absolutely freezing, but the weather gave us the most moody, atmospheric photos with the mountains making the perfect Scottish backdrop.
•
Inside, the new barn at Glen Clova was looking gorgeous and cosy with the Christmas tree and lights all up. ✨
•
Katie and Kev are also a bit of a funny one because we actually met through my terrier, Arthur! They found him on Instagram while looking for a Welsh Terrier, we met at a dog park and fast forward a bit... I ended up photographing their wedding and they got a Welsh Terrier of their own. Who just happens to be Arthur’s nephew. 😂
•
They’re very much my sort of people. Outdoorsy, dog obsessed and always up for a good time with friends and family!
•
We also decided on the morning to do a completely impromptu first look. Kev was SO emotional seeing Katie, and then somehow still got emotional when she walked down the aisle. So if you’re worried a first look will take away from that moment, I can promise you it doesn’t. Katie and Kev are proof of that. 🤍
•
A pretty perfect way to finish my 2025 weddings.

Katie & Kevin tied the knot at Glen Clova Hotel in December, and it’s safe to say the backdrop was every bit as stunning as the outfits!

For the big day, Kevin chose our exclusive National Pride of Scotland tartan kilt with a matching tie. The rich colours really stood out against the muted winter landscape, paired with our Navy Contemporary jacket and waistcoat, navy hose, Grey Seal Sporran and black Ghillie Brogues.

After our last Dedicated Gold Buying Day in Inverurie, we had lots of requests to hold another one on a Saturday, so we’re pleased to say we’ve got another date in the diary!
