I made a right b***y yesterday! I was so eager to sew this beautiful mushroom fabric and I must’ve had a senior moment because I didn’t think about the directional pattern so the mushrooms were upside down on the other side. I wasn’t going to show you it until I made another one but my husband came up with a good idea today. The 15 pack of eggs fit exactly into it so I’m keeping it against the wall and nobody will see the mistake 😂

This pattern is made from my own design and features sturdy ply wood inserts to the bottom and all 4 sides making them rigid enough to hold the contents securely whatever you choose to use it for. Although I refer to it as a bread basket it can have many other uses. I would love to hear from you as to what you might use one for. Over the next few weeks I will be posting more of these super baskets in some lovely fabrics (including some Christmas ones).
Size 23cm x 13cm x 7cm fully reversible and folds flat for easy storage.

Hello everyone, I hope you have enjoyed your summer, it has certainly been a hot one 🥵😎 We went to Jersey then over to France to visit our lovely friends who have lived there for over 12 years, so it was great to visit them and see their gorgeous home. It was during this visit, where we had such fabulous food, that gave me the idea for my first new make - a country style bread basket. It’s foldable for easy storage and has ply wood inserts making it sturdy and durable. What do you think?

The last couple of days have seen some lovely Springlike sunshine and even though it’s a bit drab today, I know that it won’t be long until we see the wonderful days of Spring again. I don’t know about you but this winter has been particularly miserable but I feel better today and looking forward to getting out and about and booking a holiday. I know my grandchildren will be looking forward to Easter (photo of my granddaughter on an Easter Egg hunt). What are you looking forward to?
