Well, she’s dusting off those dancing shoes because from October she’ll be bringing the fun to The Mill on Deal Street, Halifax, as the Eat Smart Moves More Zumba Instructor! 🕺💃

Your wedding flowers don’t have to stop at your bouquet and centrepieces… adding fresh flowers to your wedding cake can make such a difference! 🤍

Whether you’re having a simple, elegant cake or something a little more elaborate, flowers can tie the whole look together and make your cake feel like a beautiful part of your wedding day rather than something separate.

And there are a couple of ways we can help…

🌿 We can create the floral arrangement for your cake — designed to complement your cake and your wedding flowers.

🌿 Or we can simply provide the flowers for your cake maker to arrange themselves, depending on what works best for them.

And there’s a BIG advantage to getting those flowers from your wedding florist…

Rather than your cake maker choosing flowers that are similar to your wedding flowers, we can provide the same flowers, colours and varieties that are being used elsewhere throughout your day.

That means everything matches beautifully rather than being nearly the same. 🌸

One little thing to remember though — not every flower is suitable for use on or around food, so always check with your cake maker first about which flowers they are happy to use and how they need them supplied. They'll be able to advise you based on the way your cake is being decorated.

Then leave the flowers to us! 🌿🤍

One of the things we're very proud of at EarthThings is sharing the knowledge and skills that keep the art of floristry alive.

This week, our Senior Florist April has been mentoring both our trainee florist, Ruth, and our work experience student, Ellouise, giving them the opportunity to learn every aspect of life in a florist.

From conditioning flowers, hand-tied bouquets and gift arrangements to wedding flowers and the care and compassion involved in creating funeral tributes, every day brings something new to learn.

With over 27 years of experience, April is passionate about passing on her knowledge, ensuring every technique, every stem and every arrangement is crafted to the high standards we're known for.

We're incredibly proud to invest in the next generation of florists while continuing to create the beautiful flowers our customers trust us with every single day. 💐💚
