Help shape the future of Ellesmere Port

Ellesmere Port is set to benefit from £20 million of Government funding over the next 10 years through the Pride in Place programme.

Local people will have a say in how that money is spent, so please take a couple of minutes to complete the survey and share what improvements you'd like to see.

Moving Forward at Port Arcades

Yesterday, our Centre Manager Karl met with local MP Justin Madders to discuss the improvements taking place at Port Arcades and our plans for the future.

Justin has been vocal about the need for greater investment in Ellesmere Port town centre, and the meeting gave Karl the opportunity to share what he and the team have been working on over the past three months.

There’s already plenty happening behind the scenes — and you’ll soon start to see the difference.

New automatic entrance doors are being fitted.

A high-level deep clean is giving the centre a fresh start.

The malls are being repainted to create a brighter, more welcoming environment.

A new pigeon control plan is being introduced to tackle an issue that has affected the centre for some time.

A new sound system will bring music and improved announcements throughout the centre.

Improved lighting is also in the pipeline
And we have exciting plans for Marina Walk that we’ll be able to share more about soon.

These improvements are about more than simply making the centre look better.

They’re about creating a cleaner, brighter and more welcoming environment for our local community, while helping us attract new businesses and investment into Port Arcades.

It’s been a busy three months — but we’re only getting started.

We have welcomed Work Placements to young people to see what goes on behind the scenes of a shopping centre.

Delivered events for families to enjoy.

What a busy week at Port Arcades!

A huge thank you to everyone from our local community who came along to enjoy Dinosaur Day last Thursday and Comic Con on Saturday. It was fantastic to see so many families, visitors and fans enjoying the events and bringing such a great atmosphere to Port Arcades.

We’ve also received some really positive feedback from our visitors and retailers, which is exactly what we want to hear as we continue our journey of recapturing the heart of the community.

But we’re not stopping there…

Our Halloween event is already being planned!

We’re working on something bigger and even more exciting, so keep an eye on our social media for details coming soon.
