Second session, another heatwave day! Well done to everyone who not only coped with the heat but also made incredible rush lanterns. Thanks to Fenland Orchards Project for providing a beautiful workspace and for being so committed to showcasing heritage crafts.

I’ve watched these beauties (real ones!) here on the Little Ouse and was inspired to make this. They are flitting in the breeze. I like them!

Just a reminder to anyone who attends the Fenland Orchard Project rush weaving club- next session is next Thursday from 10-12(ish).

I look forward to seeing everyone there. Please remember to bring water or your preferred drink- another very warm day is forecast.

Be prepared for more cucumbers, my plants have gone crazy 🤪!

Had a great morning with Sarah from Corn in the Fens , a really nice session and lovely to collaborate with at the end of the session. Let’s hope for more work together!
