Ely City FC U16s Receive Community Boost Ahead of Final Colts Season

Ely City FC U16s have received a welcome boost from the local community as they prepare for their final season of colts football.

The squad, which is entering its second consecutive season in the A Division of the Cambridge & District Colts League, has been generously supported by two local businesses with donations of additional essential training and match equipment.

Ian Kilby from The Fish House Ely, located on Ely Market Square, has sponsored the team with a new large Nike kit bag along with a sack of 12 training balls.

Meanwhile, Stacia from A Little Something Ely, on Market Street opposite The Hereward, has generously provided the squad with 20 reversible training bibs and bag, as well as two quality match balls.

The new equipment will help ensure the U16s have everything they need as they begin their 26/27 campaign and embark on the final chapter of their journey through colts football.

The coaches and players wish to express their sincere thanks to Ian from The Fish House Ely and Stacia from A Little Something Ely for their generosity and continued support of youth football in the Ely community.

Their contributions will give the team an excellent start to what promises to be a memorable final season in colts football.

The Ely City FC U16s are coached by Carl Lockwood, Dean Salmons and Darren Heffer.
