📚 What has Usborne unlocked for me? 💕

When I started my Usborne journey, I wanted something flexible that I could fit around my family, while still doing something I genuinely loved.

But it’s given me more than that. 🥹

The extra money I earn helps towards the things that make our family life our family life — holidays and beach days 🏖️, meals out 🍽️, music and dance lessons 🎹🩰, Scouts ⚜️, days out, little adventures 🚗 and even some of those boring-but-essential family expenses!

children can be expensive 😂, so being able to contribute towards these things while working flexibly around my girls means so much to me.

Every stall I run, every school I support, every book I sell and every new person I welcome to my team is helping me build something of my own and helping us create the life and memories we want as a family. ❤️

School drop-off done… and now for a little bit of me time. 🥰☕️
Today’s treat is a cinnamon & orange hot chocolate 🍊🤎 and a chance to sit, reset and plan my Usborne day ahead.
One of the things I really love about what I do now is having the freedom to shape my working day around family life. Once the girls are happily at school, I can switch into Bex’s Book Nook mode! 📚✨
Today’s little to-do list includes…
🌟 Welcoming new team members and helping them get started
🎄 Getting to know this season’s gorgeous Christmas stock — it’s definitely starting to feel festive!
📚 Catching up on a few chapters of our Book Club read
💻 And generally getting organised for everything coming up with Bex’s Book Nook!
There was a time when a weekday morning felt like rushing from one thing straight into another. Now I get these little pockets of calm where I can enjoy a hot chocolate, work on something I genuinely love and still be there for school pick-up. ❤️
So here’s to cinnamon, orange, Christmas books, new beginnings and a little Friday morning me time. ☕️🍊🎄📚

I am SO excited to introduce a brand-new festive reading adventure from Bex’s Book Nook!
🎅 Ready, Steady… READOLPH! is a Christmas sponsored reading challenge especially for primary schools and nurseries.
Children will take on 12 fun festive reading challenges, collect sponsorship from family and friends, and help their school or nursery raise money for wonderful new books! 📚❤️
And the best bit? ALL reading counts!
📖 Reading independently
👨‍👩‍👧 Sharing a story together
🎧 Listening to a story
🧸 Even reading to your favourite teddy!
As a former primary school teacher, encouraging children to discover a genuine love of books is something incredibly important to me — and I wanted to create something that combines Christmas magic, family reading and getting more books into children's hands. ❤️

I’ll provide participating schools and nurseries with their challenge sheets, sponsorship resources, parent information and certificates, making it as simple as possible for staff to run.
