So this is a post I never wanted to make, but here we are. After an absolutely horrific year (losing little Finn bear), I just don’t have the energy to continue the hard slog that is running a small business, my heart just isn’t in it any more.
When I first started this page, Instagram (and small business life) was a very different place. However, over the years, things have become gradually more and more difficult and I know so many others feel the same when it comes to the reality of small biz life. Apart from the constant challenges of social media, since losing Finn I’ve lost my muchness and I feel you definitely need this when trying to run a small business.
I’ve tried not to ramble on, but just wanted to say, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. Whether you’ve liked/shared/saved/tagged/commented on posts, thank you if you’ve bought something, recommended to friends/family and generally been such a support 🩶. Running a small business can be incredibly lonely (and extremely challenging), so a special thank you to all the fellow small businesses out there who have supported me too 🩶.
I might still make the odd custom order over on my personal page, but KirchemKit Knits is just no longer sustainable for personal reasons.
If you’ve read this far - thank you. There is nothing better than seeing little knits I’ve made out in the wild on your littles 🩶.
