🎣 SUMMER CARP CARE – LOOK AFTER WHAT YOU CATCH ☀️🐟

Hot weather = higher stress for carp. As responsible anglers, it’s up to us to protect the fish we love. Here's how to give them the care they need during summer sessions:

💧 Keep the Carp Wet
Always have a full bucket ready. Use fresh, cool water regularly to keep the fish wet during unhooking, weighing, and photos.

🧊 Cool the Mat or Cradle
Before placing your carp down, make sure your mat or cradle is well-soaked and cooled with fresh water. Dry or hot surfaces can cause real damage.

📸 Quick and Low Photos
Take your photos quickly and keep the carp low over the mat. No standing shots. Time out of the water should be kept to a minimum.

🛠 Prep First, Lift Later
Get everything (mat, sling, scales, camera) set up before lifting the carp from the water. Be ready to act fast and carefully.

🌊 Support Until Ready
Gently hold the carp in the water and let it fully recover before release. Only let go when it kicks away on its own.

🛟 Respect the Fish. Respect the Water.
Good carp care = better fishing for everyone. Let’s do our part this summer.

Looking for top-quality fishing in beautiful, secure surroundings? We offer exclusive access to three unique waters across Essex, each with its own character and challenges – perfect for passionate anglers looking to enjoy a quality fishing experience.

1. Parklands Lake – Upminster
A well-stocked coarse and carp lake with fish up to 30lb. The lake features two banks:

Public Bank – ideal for day sessions.
Gated Members-Only Bank – secure access with the option for night fishing.
2. Tit Lake – Albyns Farm, Hornchurch
A favourite among carp anglers and predator hunters.

Home to stunning carp (including several 30lb+ fish), tench up to 14lb, and solid pike fishing in the winter months.
Every swim has its own individual pen, offering a peaceful, personal space.
Lakeside parking for members only.
3. Response Lake – Ongar
A truly special water set in the heart of the Ongar countryside.

A challenging carp water with over 60 hand-picked fish, including some over 30lb.
A peaceful, rural location with lakeside parking and on-site toilets.
Memberships start from May 1st
