Planning a destination wedding? One of the questions we get asked most often is how to travel with confetti without it arriving crushed, damp, or damaged. The good news is that with a little bit of preparation, it is absolutely fine to take both natural petal confetti and biodegradable paper confetti on a plane.

🌸 Keep your confetti sealed and stored inside a rigid container to protect against crushing in your luggage
🌸 Away from heat, direct light, and any risk of moisture at all times
🌸 Pack it centrally in your suitcase, never in outer pockets where it is most exposed
🌸 Hold luggage works, but if you can, hand luggage is always the gentler option for petal confetti
🌸 Wait until you arrive to fill your confetti packets, ideally around two days before the wedding

💐 Does confetti stain? It is one of the most common questions we get asked at Confetti Bee, and we completely understand why. You have spent months choosing the perfect outfit, and the last thing you want is a confetti moment that leaves a mark!

Here is what you need to know:

🌸 Our natural petal confetti is made from real dried flower petals. When kept dry, it should not stain clothing or surfaces at all. Darker shades can occasionally transfer a little colour if they get wet and are pressed against very pale or delicate fabric, but this is easily avoided by keeping your confetti dry until the moment it is used and giving your outfit a gentle brush down after the throw. If you want complete peace of mind, our white petal confetti is a beautiful, worry-free choice.

🎉 Our biodegradable paper confetti is Colourfast, meaning it has been specially designed to resist colour transfer. When kept dry it should not stain dresses, suits or surfaces. As with any coloured paper product, prolonged contact with moisture is worth avoiding, but for the vast majority of couples this simply is not an issue.

So the golden rule for both? Keep your confetti dry, enjoy every second of the throw, and give your outfit a quick brush afterwards. That really is all there is to it!
