It’s been almost 3 years now since we took over the premises that belonged to the much loved Rich Monk RIP of Salt City Surfshop.
With our lease coming up for renewal Very soon, We’ve had to make a big decision and I’m really Sorry to say that we’ve had to Close the Exeter branch of Sessions Surf & Skate Shop this week as it was no longer viable to keep it open.😢
I’d like to say a Big Thank you to all the staff and customers that have helped and supported us over the last three years.
We really tried to continue Rich’s Saltcity legacy and keep a core Surf & Skate shop in the City but unfortunately it hasn’t worked out that way but I really hope that another Surf/Skate enthusiast will start something up in Exeter in the future.

Sessions have been open in Exeter for nearly three years, we’re so proud of the fact that with your unwavering support we have been able to keep a surf and skate shop in Exeter.

At Sessions we find ourselves in a new transition period and would like to offer the opportunity of the “Exeter Surf and Skate Shop” for an owner run business going forward. We firmly believe Exeter deserves to have a specialist Surf and Skate store, continuing the legacy of Rich’s Saltcity Surf Shop. This could be a great opportunity for somebody with the passion and commitment to make it a future success.

For now we’re just throwing this option out there whilst we consider all our options. If this is something you’d like to explore then get in touch with us via a private message.

Ready for day tomorrow? Come down Fore Street and check out some limited addition decks made only for 2025s skate shop day.

As well as the three limited addition decks we also have two Girl blind bags in store 😮These decks are a reissues of his iconic 1994 “Pictionary” board. The exciting part is that four of the batch made are original 1994 pressings, and one of those features hand drawn artwork by (so you have a chance of picking up one of these if you buy a blind bag)🤯 they are also available only in stores.

We will be playing skate videos all day tomorrow so feel free to just come down and hang out,have a little look around watch some vids. We appreciate all the support everyone has given us, means a lot 🤙
