So here are the finished designs from week 3 of the Intro Plus course!

We started with a bowl with a vase inside to act as a former and made the ring with muehlenbeckia and glue. Let it dry for a few days!

Then we added some feet so that the ring is raised out of the dish filled with water.

Then the best bit next - adding all of the flowers! They were fed through the ring with the stem ending up sitting in the water.

Not an easy design to then transport home in your car! More water added and then everyone just enjoyed their flowers at home. The ring can be used again and again throughout the year, perfect.

Last Saturday I was joined by a fab group for a Floristry Taster session!

Perfect for those who love flowers and want to learn some new skills.

We made two designs. One a relaxed and natural trug and the other an elegant contemporary design.

Lots of smiles and flowery chatter along with coffee and cake. So a perfect morning!

The next Floristry Taster class is on Friday 29th May.

Just catching up after a busy couple of weeks!

Gorgeous Spring bowl designs by everyone on week 1 of the Intro Plus 5 week course.

First time for them all using a pin holder in the bottom of the bowl. All looking fabulous ladies!

Then we were on to Living Spring Wreaths. Filled with flowering bulbs of narcissi and muscari. Little mossed balls filled with violets were then added. We kept on going with eryngium thistle, silver birch and even more.

Then another messy job creating rings of muehlenbeckia glued into a washing up bowl acting as a former! Will show these when they are dried. All to be filled with flowers at the next class on Thursday.

We've been busy!!! All great fun and wonderful to have returning faces who have all become lovely friends.

Spring is on the way! We actually had some patches of blue sky today.

How about coming along to a relaxing class making your own large Living Spring wreath packed with bulbs and spring flowers. All on a mossed base made by you.

Donā€™t wear your best jumper though, youā€™ll be getting up and close & personal with your wreath!!

Very excited to see one of my competition pieces in the Flower Arranger magazine!!

Brilliant to see such a fab photo of the design, my photos did not come out like that!!

Itā€™s from last September at the Nafas National Show at Gloucester cathedral.

What an experience that was, good fun and all of the hard work was definitely worth it.

What an amazing few days it has been at the NAFAS National Show at Gloucester Cathedral!!

My design for the pedestal class titled ā€˜Autumnal Acousticsā€™ was a joy to make.

Super happy and very proud that I received a 1st place for it! I was also awarded Runner Up to Best in Show and Best Newcomer for the National Show. I canā€™t tell you how amazing it is to receive these awards and I really canā€™t quite believe it.

When I first read the class title of ā€˜Autumnal Acousticsā€™ I knew exactly what shape I wanted my design to be. I am now completely deaf on one side so the curve of an ear came immediately to mind!! Well why not I thought and Iā€™m chuffed to bits that I managed to create the curved shape I had pictured in my head.

Itā€™s been a magical few days and Iā€™ve met the most amazing and brilliantly creative people. Such a huge amount of hard work has gone into the event by the organisers and everyone who competed.

Thank you to my darling husband for all of his support and his chain saw!!

Back home in Devon now and ready to recharge my batteries ###
