Garland Guitars

Garland Guitars Guitar Repair Luthier With 25 years' experience you can be assured that your guitar will play the best it ever has. My luthier journey began when I was 18.

I made my first acoustic guitar with Dave Oddy a local Devon Luthier. This sparked my enthusiasm for luthiery and repair work. I continued my journey at Exeter Music Shop as a salesman selling guitars, amps, effects pedals, you name it! I eventually became frustrated with the lack of attention to detail to the playability of the instruments when they arrived in store. So, I took it upon myself to

learn; how to set-up and service a guitar; how to fret dress; how to wire in pickups, and change pots and tone caps. This led me to the most renowned guitar shop in Exeter, Mansons Guitar Shop, whereby I gained the experience and knowledge to conduct even more advanced repair work and restorations. Within a few short years I was re fretting, fixing full headstock breaks, re-setting necks, applying new binding, planning bridges just to name a few. 20 Years later I have decided to strive out on my own. I started Garland Guitars in 2019 turning my career into a full-fledge business offering the highest quality guitar repair, restoration work and full custom builds. Please take the time to view my previous work which you will find on my site. I hope to hear from you soon. Jeremy Owens
