Test post.
The Syke crossbody, pattern by Lavender & Twine.
I had the privilege to be given this new faux leather to test out by Country Cow Designs which if all goes well (and it should) they will stock in their shop and online.
I have to say at first look I wasn’t sure, it has a distressed look & feel to it, (almost like suede but rougher) not at all smooth like the Mora faux have I gotten use to, but after I started cutting it out, well let’s just say I’m in love!
The Skye pattern is new for me to make, even though it’s been in my stash for at least a couple of years, but it was perfect to test out the new faux.
It was easy sew through, but not as forgiving as Mora, it’s is slightly sturdy and easy to attach stabilisers too, I used the new Flexi fuse I’m also trying out for CCD instead of Decovil light and it worked like a dream.
This colour faux an off white has a silver shimmer to it and I hope you can see this in the photos, which makes it perfect for an evening bag, the lining is water resistant cotton canvas, which makes a bright show when the bag is opened.
All in all it’s a big thumbs up to this new faux leather 👍🏻👍🏻and I look forward to see the other colours in it, but I do know this white is already on my shopping waiting list.
