This weekend I decided what I am going to do for Mother’s Day. I am going to make afternoon tea with homemade cakes, fresh scones and homemade jam, and a nicely set table to make it feel a bit special.

I thought it would be nice to make some napkins to go with it, so I came up with this cute design of teapots, tea cups and little hearts. Hopefully she will like it!

(The surprise hasn’t been spoilt - my mum doesn’t use social media, so she won’t see what I’ve made beforehand 😃)

Today is Love Your Pet Day!

Luigi, my handsome German Shorthaired Pointer, is in the studio with me today and he is lapping it up. Extra treats, extra cuddles and plenty of “supervising”… He is feeling spoiled and I wouldn’t have it any other way ❤️

The phrase “You’re My Lobster” comes from Friends (they were the days. Any fellow fans out there?!). It refers to the fact that lobsters mate for life, which is a pretty adorable way to say you are my person ❤️

I love our lobster tea towel. It is hand printed using a wooden block we made ourselves in the studio, so this design is unique to us. I have my tea towel washed and ironed ready for a Valentine’s later this month. I think I might go crazy and make some matching napkins too… because why not! 🦞

I have always wanted to give lino printing a go, and I am finally trying it!

I am pretty pleased with my badger design, however I am now wondering if I should have chosen something a little simpler for my first attempt…
