So, after 42 years it’s with huge sadness that we announce that we will cease trading in 10 days time. Many people are asking how and why such an impressive and long established shop can just close down. Well, we will paint a picture for you.. The boss has hit 60, so he is looking to have some much needed time to himself (especially after losing his dad 2 years ago), we have (like many other businesses) suffered massively from the shift to online buying and a reduction in footfall, our electricity bill has risen from £6,500 to just under £20,000 a year, and we also understand that customers resent paying for parking in town due to the ever increasing parking charges. We thank all our customers for their custom over the years and we wish you all the very best :) The photo is from 1984 and is a nice memory 🙂
