🌟 Volunteer Spotlight 🌟

Next up is Elizabeth – Our National Treasure! 💙

Elizabeth joined the South Street team in 2015, bringing with her many years of volunteering experience and a fantastic work ethic.

When South Street closed, she continued her loyal service with us at Sidwell Street. After lockdown, when the shop needed a thorough deep clean, Elizabeth was one of the first to roll up her sleeves, pull on her marigolds, and get stuck in.

Despite being one of our longest-serving volunteers and having a long walk to reach us, Elizabeth can still be found in the shop several times a week, happily picking up extra shifts to cover holidays and sickness.

Need help? Just call Elizabeth and she’ll be there! 💪✨

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight 🌟

Next up is Angie – our longest-serving volunteer! 💙

Angie joined Little Valley all the way back in 2009 when she moved to Exeter. As a self-confessed crazy cat lady, signing up as a cat cuddler was the perfect role! 🐱

When our South Street shop opened in 2013, Angie was the very first volunteer to join the team. Despite insisting she would never use a till, she went on to become a till trainer and even took charge of ordering all our new goods items. 👏

When Covid arrived, Angie took some time away until she felt comfortable returning. When she did, she chose to step back from the shop floor and focus on supporting the team behind the scenes.

Have you ever noticed how spotless our homewares are? ✨ That’s Angie! She is our queen of cleaning and makes sure every item is sparkling before it reaches the shop floor.

Thank you, Angie, for your incredible dedication, hard work and support over the years. We’re so grateful to have you as part of the Little Valley family. 🐾💙

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight 🌟

First up, we’re shining a light on Laura – The Reliable One! 💙

Laura first joined us back in August 2015, volunteering in our Cowick Street shop before later becoming part of the South Street team and in 2020 moving to Sidwell Street.

You can set your clock by Laura! ⏰ Always on time, always dependable, and always willing to step in and help with extra shifts when needed.

Even after finding paid employment, Laura continued to support us whenever she could. After retiring last year, we’re delighted to have her back with us for two shifts a week.

Thank you, Laura, for your dedication and support over the years. We’re happy to have you as part of the Little Valley family. 🐾💙

Wendi brings a wealth of retail knowledge with her, having previously worked in independent stores. She is also a self-taught jewellery maker and can often be found at local markets showcasing and selling her beautiful creations ✨
