It’s with great sadness that we have to say Wolf Cycleworx is closing it doors for the last time at 2pm today.
These last few months have been particularly hard for us and whilst we have tried our hardest to think of ways to keep going, we just can’t compete with the likes of Wiggle, Chain Reaction and the whole online sales thing. We guess online is where it’s at.
We have had the extra difficulty with the news that we have to find a new location early next year for the shop, the land our shop resides on is being redeveloped. We have been looking for a new location but with rent prices for retail so high we just haven’t been able to find anywhere.
We’d like to say a massive thank you to all our customers for your loyalty and friendship over the last couple of years, you’ve given us some happy memories and great times. We’ve had some massive highs, particularly when we won Britain’s Best Bike Shop and when Ben had his week of fame on TV and Radio. Not forgetting of course how you all rallied around us in 2017 after the break in.
Hopefully we will find a base somewhere in the New Year to open up a Workshop and say goodbye to the retail side for good. Ben’s reputation as a mechanic is definitely something you can’t buy online, so keep your eyes peeled on that front.
We will of course be keeping the Wolf Race Team going, we certainly don’t want the youngsters to loose out in all this. Our heart is definitely in the community and we will continue to support both the Mountain Bike and BMX Teams to help these youngsters reach their goals.
All customers bikes have been collected.
For now it’s goodbye from Wolf Cycleworx with a heavy heart and massive thanks to all of you, we couldn’t of lasted this long without you.
