This is the fabulous memory bear 🐻 Liz produced for me to remember my very special mum.
I've know Liz for quite a number of years now. Probably about 15 actually, when our boys were at nursery together but lost touch when they moved onto different primary schools and it's been so lovely to have this done by her. She happen to come into my place of work this past year and we got chatting, as you do, told me of her change of career and mentioned this site. I did have a look and on another occasion when Liz was in again I asked about materials etc as I was thinking of my elderly mum who after a stroke six years ago had progressive dimentia. Less than a month later my lovely dear mum passed away and after the funeral I managed to gather some clothing bits which I thought might be suitable and this is the result.
Liz has attached mums pins a thimble and a tape measure. Also includes a label with number 14 the care home room number where she spent her last two years and a name tag sewn under the collar. The purple and cerise pink were from jumpers I was with mum when she bought them using gift vouchers from the family and she matched them up with the scarf which mum worn with either jumper.
After spending a couple of hours with Liz giving her some idea of mums life , her youth , career , marriage and her family, Liz took away an array of items some of which I hadn't intended for the bear but I'm not in the least disappointed and I know this was made with love and great care with every stitch sewn . Well ! Another memory bear finished for a lovely family. This little chap was a surprise for a teachers leaving present. Made from a school sweatshirt, with a pocket on his back to include special notes from the 'boys' who presented it to their teacher ! X

Did some flowers for a wonderful couples wedding on bonfire night. The pumpkins gave a lovely autumnal feel to the tables. We had a fab time Hass and Aimee xx
