Do you feel like you’re not achieving all your goals?
Well, here’s the reason why. 👇
You need to stop seeing time as your enemy…
Your goals are there to serve you, not the other way around!
When you load yourself with an endless to-do list, or a list of massive goals you must achieve at a set date is too much to bear.
You can still have an ultimate destination you want to get to, but to make that journey one you’ll enjoy taking, here’s three steps you can borrow from us:
✍🏼 Step One | Break it down
Break your journey down into the smallest steps you can take
✍🏼 Step Two | Balance
Instead of having an endless to-do list of tasks, borrow this trick from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and use a little behavioural activation.
- Have an evolving list of 6 goals for the week
- Separate those goals into three groups of two and label them; Necessary,
Maintenance and Leisure.
- Then add three columns (Ease, Value and Joy) and rate each part from 1-5 with the
highest scoring goal from each section being the ones you prioritise.
- Don’t cheat and make sure you leave room for a little joy along your journey!
✍🏼 Step Three | Adapt
Don’t let the list rule you. If you find something isn’t working, why not try temptation bundling? You can do this by pairing activities together to make them easier to do. If all else fails, look to take a slightly different path to reach your ultimate destination.
