I am a Professional Photographer who Owns Carrie Southerton Visual Art & Photography Studio. The studios consist of 7 acres of Dog secure grounds which include various set scenes - Wild West, The Orchard, Christmas Trees etc but also having the benefit of natural backdrops where the 'dog models' can let their hair down and run free. There is also a 900 sq ft indoor Studio which top of the range li

ghting and equipment. A glamour room and bathroom, along with reception area and lounge for taking time out from a shoot. We, as a family have had generations of Dog experience and for the last 35 years, showed and bred mainly Beagles, GSDs, English Foxhounds and Jack Russell Terriers. Retiring from active showing and breeding in January 2016 meant Carolyne could concentrate on Carrie Southerton Photography. The story behind DUG on a MUG is very simple........DUG is actually Lord Douglas of Haughmill and is the heart and soul of our JRTs. Having just had a photo shoot, after his Summer stripping....the question was asked 'I would like to put THAT image on a Mug' ...to which the reply was......' Oh, that could be called DUG on a MUG'.....and so the story began......................DUG on a MUG can be offered as an extra to clients who have booked a photo shoot with Carrie Southerton Photography. Choosing one of the many images produced to be printed onto the high quality, triple coated Mugs on offer. One other way of owning a DUG on a MUG is booking a specific DUG on a MUG photo shoot. I never really get the chance to photograph any of our own dogs due to the fact we are so busy with our Clients lovely dogs.
However, I got the chance recently when our Son, Dominic brought up DOD (Son of our famous DUG on a MUG) for a mini photo session. ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž
Dod is such a sweetheart unlike his OCD Father Dug ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
We had a lovely afternoon with him and he posed like a real trooper - although as a baby puppy I was always shoving a camera in his face ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

The amazing Tasha came to the Studio this morning for her ๐“๐‡๐ˆ๐‘๐ƒ session. ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž
This is the middle shoot of ๐…๐ˆ๐•๐„ taking her up to 18 months old for her final one.
I will then begin to create her 'Growth' Artwork for a large Panoramic Wall Art. I am so excited about this one.๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’ž
She was so good today and it is fascinating watching her develop into a wonderful and extremely beautiful Border Collie.๐Ÿคฉ
Tasha is always great to work with and today was no exception.
She is definitely an Obedience Champion in the making๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

The artwork below shows how much she has grown in a short space of time. They don't stay puppies for very long. This is why the 'Growth' Artwork is so very important as it showcases how the pups change over 18 months with a beautiful Art piece to capture those precious moments.

This mornings full Combination Photo Session was with three of the most wonderful Pomeranians - DK, Bear & Nugget ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž
We started at 10am and completed this fabulous session around 2.30pm but time flew past so quickly we didn't notice.
All three were stars with totally different personalities which shone through.๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ
Bear was a true poser who just loved the camera๐Ÿ˜Ž Nugget was the Diva and knew exactly what she wanted it and how (Evian only please!) ๐Ÿ˜šand then comes puppy DK who was a Kamikaze and zoomed around, just bringing joy to everywhere he went.๐Ÿ˜‚
A most memorable photo session and I think that after this morning and being around three adorable characters - Pomeranians are in my top ten favourite breeds.๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž
