AUGUST BEAR

I’ve started a day early by marking up the pattern pieces for this little bear. This pretty funky fabric will be used to make the inner s of her ears and her foot pads. She’ll have a matching neck tie as well.

This is rose pink Steiff Alpaca and is soooo soft to work with, she’s going to be such a cuddly little one.

This bear will be for sale.

I’m holding a raffle for this beautiful 9” hand made Steiff Schulte Mohair bear.

🐻 £5 for 5 numbers

💚 £50 from ticket sales goes to Strathcarron Hospice in Denny via Blackwood Music Academy’s ongoing Strathcarron fundraisers.

💙 I’ve raised £250 so far by my bear sales/ raffles.

💖 Berry bear is entirely hand sewn and is fully loose jointed which means her head, arms and legs can move. She is slightly weighted so feels snuggly to cuddle. She is shaded for character, she has little hand embroidered details.

She has glass eyes which are sewn in.

Her pendant has been made from a slice of a real strawberry and encased in resin forever. She has a hand made bracelet and her name tag “Berry” was engraved on a little metal tag.

Her neck tie was made especially for her to match her ear and paw pad. She has a safety tag sewn into her back like all my bears.

This is a collectors bear, she is not suitable to be played with or for anyone under 14 years of age due to her fine delicate detailing (the law).

She is approx 9” measured in her seated position.

I’ve been busy preparing this beautiful plush Steiff Alpaca bear making fabric.

It’s such a beautiful colour and I’m getting itchy fingers, can’t wait till August when I start bear making again especially when it will be with this !!!

I’m going to use my new pattern which I made Amber, Orchid, HeHua and Thistle from.

A fully sculpted mega sewing required pattern with sculpted nose and filled with wood wool, weighting and polyfill.

Most of our bears are made especially for bear lovers who request a specific bear or see a bear being made and decide they need that one in their life.

When a bear is coming to life you can jump right in there and reserve it. From that point on, you are involved in the bear’s creation.

We have a large stock of mohair in different colours and pile lengths. We use 3 patterns that we know our bear lovers like the best.

Each bear takes a long time to make because they are sewn by hand for precision. All materials used are the best ones we can find. Our glass eyes are all made by small specialist artists.

Accessories, names and themes can be chosen if you like or just give us artistic license to create you something special and unique.

Have a special celebration coming up and you’re looking for a bear to keep forever then pop us a message.

This bunny was a little memory keepsake bunny wearing dungarees made from a shirt and the Mercedes patch from a polo shirt.

She was fancied up with little boots and ribbons and headscarf all to match.

Memory bunnies and bears can be made to order for you.

The memory bears will be shown on a separate post as I’m not making the same ones as I used to.
