It takes a whole school community to support, teach and take care of our children - not just the one teacher they are assigned too.
I know, my son valued a lot of the other staff in the school - as did I. Yes his actual teachers along his time at the school, the deputy and Headteacher but also staff such as the receptionist who communicates most with the parents. The janitor who watches over the kids during break and helps around the grounds, the kitchen staff who speak to our children and learn about them and make sure they take a meal, the cleaners who keep everything clean and tidy up after them, support staff who step in to guide and teach our children, the staff who do 1-1 teaching with the children that need a little more help & the staff who we don’t always see but are behind the scenes.
This year the p7 parents decided as the p7 children were moving on - we were going to gift all the teachers in the staff room - a lunch instead. We set up our charcuterie cart with cupcakes, mimosas, soft drinks & a thank you balloon and card for all the staff & they all loved it - something different, that they all got to enjoy & a pick me up before finishing.
Our charcuterie cart doesn’t always have to be for an event - it can be a staff lunch - a thank you to your team - a training event - a show or entertainment break set up - we would love to hear from you and discuss more
